SUPPORTING INCLUSIVITY IN THE ANGLICAN CHURCH Trinity Church hosted Davis Mac-Iyalla of Nigeria, as a guest speaker. Davis, a long-time member of the Anglican Church in Nigeria who now lives in London, is an openly gay man and founder ofChanging Attitudes, Nigeria.Changing Attitudes is dedicated to the full inclusion of all people in the church, regardless of sexual orientation. Davis is one of the few people from Nigeria who will risk being an out, gay man. A leader for civil rights, Davis spent six weeks in the US, traveling around the country and telling his story. He also met with the Executive Council of The Episcopal Church (the elected body that provides oversight to The Episcopal Church in-between triennial conventions.) Davis currently lives in London with his spouse and continues his work for the full inclusion of all people in the world-wide Anglican Church.
We are honored to have hosted Davis, and support him in his efforts to work for change in the church.
Trinity's former rector, Andrea Mysen conducts a pet-blessing.
