Food for Thought

There are still people in need 

and we are still collecting!

As many of you know, many of our neighbors fear going outdoors due to ICE activity in Waukegan and North Chicago.  Our neighbors at Deerfield Unitarian have identified 80 families in need of emergency food assistance. 

They are asking people to purchase 5 lb bags of white rice, 4 lb bags of dried pinto beans, and 40 oz. bottles of canola oil. 

Please bring them to church, and we will arrange to drop them off at Deerfield Unitarian for distribution. 

If you are looking to help our neighbors in distress, this is it. This will be an ongoing project.

You can leave your donations along the wall in the choir forming room under the sign for Emergency Request.
