The Pascal Candle and Baptismal Font are symbols of Transition and Renewal
which we honor in ritual and tradition.

Once again Trinity is transition as we begin our search for a new priest-in-charge/rector to lead us into new and expanding ministries.

In the meantime, we are happy to announce that Rev. Eileen Shanley Roberts will join Trinity on Sunday, November 1 as our long-term supply priest. She will preach and preside three Sundays and month, be available for pastoral care, and be in the office five to ten hours a week. Eileen works at Bexley-Seabury Seminary, an online ministry school, and formerly served as rector at Christ Church Waukegan, where she helped develop the community meals program, which Trinity once participated in. We hope she might help us think about new ways to serve.

Our agreement with Eileen is open-ended, though we will check in after six months. Our hope is that she will serve with us until we call our next rector or priest-in-charge.

That call depends on gathering a search committee who will direct the process of calling a new rector or priest-in-charge. The vestry has decided to begin that process immediately, and to that end is inviting anyone who wishes to be a part of the search committee to complete a "self-nomination form," attached below. Self-nomination is not a commitment to serve but an expression of interest. The vestry is seeking a committee that represents the congregation well and is committed to developing the congregation's next chapter. The nomination form can be found below.
